The Westbury with Warminster Good Afternoon Choir have chosen to support Julia's House with their fundraising concerts & events in 2025 |

The Westbury with Warminster Good Afternoon Choir rehearse every Friday afternoon at Leigh Park Community Centre from 2.00-4.00pm.
Grenville Jones, the founder of the Good Afternoon Choirs is delighted that Tanya Davidson is the leader of the Westbury with Warminster Good Afternoon Choir.
Tanya is a pianist and soprano, based in Warminster. Previously accompanist for the Jane Lilley Singers of Bath, Tanya has led youth choirs and musicals, directed and performed in many local theatre productions, and for several years was Assistant Musical Director and Accompanist for Warminster Military Wives Choir. Tanya now runs her own female voice choir in Warminster: Cantiamo… “let’s sing”!
A warm welcome awaits any new members, there are NO auditions and everyone is welcome! There is no charge for attending your first rehearsal. Come alone or with a friend – either way Tanya and the Choir will be pleased to meet you. You will be joining over 1,000 people singing at Good Afternoon Choirs around the South West and beyond!
Membership forms are available to collect at every rehearsal. The choir rehearsals are in 4 terms of 10 weeks and members pay £58 per term – this covers room and piano hire, music, admin and musician fees. You do not need to join at the start of a term, you can simply come along to any rehearsal and pick up a membership form should you wish to join the choir – your fee will then be worked out for the remainder of that term.

Freemason's Christmas Dinner 2025

Members of Westbury with Warminster GAC had a lovely time entertaining the local Freemasons at their Christmas Dinner in the run up to Christmas 2025.
Christmas Concert 2025

What a wonderful Christmas concert the Westbury with Warminster GAC held with the children of Westbury Leigh C of E Primary School in the run up to Christmas 2025.
The children particularly enjoyed Pete's rendition of “With Bells On” by Gervase Phinn (photo right). Their teacher apologised for the kid's "locust-like invasion at the food table!" but the Choir absolutely loved hosting them! |

VE Day Commemoration 2025
Westbury with Warminster GAC had a lovely time commemorating 80 Years since VE Day at their May rehearsal, including learning some World War songs.
Cafe Visit 2025
Some of the Westbury with Warminster GAC members enjoyed a well earned hot drink after singing outdoors to spread the word for new members!
Concert March 2024
Westbury with Warminster Good Afternoon Choir joined forces with Chippenham & Calne Good Afternoon Choir for a lovely evening concert at Leigh Park Community Centre in Westbury. The photo above shows Matt Finch at the keyboard with Tanya Davidson conducting. Tanya also appeared as a soloist and treated the audience to several songs from musical theatre.
Minster Church Christmas Tree Festival 2023

Warminster & Westbury GAC took part in the Minster Church Christmas Tree Festival on December 2nd 2023 singing carols and Tanya (and husband Pete) decorated a GAC tree.
2023 Joint GAC concert
We were delighted to be guests of the Frome Good Afternoon Choir along with the Chippenham & Calne GAC at the Holy Trinity Church in Frome for a combined fundraising concert. We sang some new challenging pieces as separate choirs but came together as one big choir to sing some classic Good Afternoon Choir songs (video above & pictures below). We were treated to a fantastic rendition of Summertime from Tanya and the evening was accompanied by Matt Finch (Frome and Chippenham & Calne Choir leader). The audience joined in several rounds and helped raise over £460 for local charities.
