The Highworth with Shrivenham Good Afternoon Choir have chosen to support
Crisis Homeless Charity with their fundraising concerts and events in 2024 |

The Highworth with Shrivenham Good Afternoon Choir rehearse every Wednesday afternoon at Highworth Community Centre from 1.00-3.00pm.
Grenville Jones, the founder of the Good Afternoon Choirs is delighted that Sarah Summers is taking over as the leader of the HIghworth with Shrivenham Good Afternoon Choir.
Sarah Summers has been leading community choirs for 3 1/2 years and has taught Music in Primary School's previous to this, as well as working with piano students for all of her adult life. She loves singing and particularly likes the focus that Community Choirs have on having fun.
Sarah has enjoyed playing keyboard and working with singers on three Chocolate Theatre Shows and is looking forward to being involved in this years Summer Youth Project at Swindon's Wyvern Theatre.
A warm welcome awaits any new members, there are NO auditions and everyone is welcome! There is no charge for attending your first rehearsal. Come alone or with a friend – either way Sarah and the Choir will be pleased to meet you. You will be joining over 1,000 people singing at Good Afternoon Choirs around the South West and beyond!
Membership forms are available to collect at every rehearsal. The choir rehearsals are in 4 terms of 10 weeks and members pay £58 per term – this covers room and piano hire, music, admin and musician fees. You do not need to join at the start of a term, you can simply come along to any rehearsal and pick up a membership form should you wish to join the choir – your fee will then be worked out for the remainder of that term.

Highworth with Shrivenham Good Afternoon Choir joined North Swindon Good Afternoon Choir and were in great voice for a concert at St Michaels & All Angels Church, Highworth with special guests Bath Male Voice Choir.
