The Keynsham Good Afternoon Choir rehearse every Wednesday afternoon at Keynsham Methodist Church / Victoria Centre from 2.00-4.00pm.
Grenville Jones, the founder of the Good Afternoon Choirs, is delighted that John Hare is taking over as the leader of the Bath Good Afternoon Choir.
John Hare is a musician and performer specialising in piano and trumpet. Having spent 20 years as a music teacher, he now works as a freelance session musician playing at festivals and gigs across the UK and Europe. John’s first love was classical music and he still enjoys playing classical repertoire but he now spends most of his time playing folk, rock and musical theatre.
A warm welcome awaits any new members, there are NO auditions and everyone is welcome! There is no charge for attending your first rehearsal. Come alone or with a friend – either way John and the Choir will be pleased to meet you. You will be joining over 1,000 people singing at Good Afternoon Choirs around the South West and beyond!
Membership forms are available to collect at every rehearsal. The choir rehearsals are in 4 terms of 10 weeks and members pay £58 per term – this covers room and piano hire, music, admin and musician fees. You do not need to join at the start of a term, you can simply come along to any rehearsal and pick up a membership form should you wish to join the choir – your fee will then be worked out for the remainder of that term.
If you have any questions about the Choir please contact Tracey or Jody at Grenville's office in Westfield/Midsomer Norton via e-mail [email protected] or tel 01761 472468.

Christmas Break
Thank you for the Music .... Grenville Jones!
As Grenville stands down from the Keynsham Good Afternoon Choir to hand over to John Hare there was a special treat for him at the Christmas concert on December 4th. Here are the choir singing to Grenville ...... he was very moved by this special song (and gifts) recorded by choir member Anne Hewitt.
