Every TUESDAY from 2.00-4.00pm
At Temple Methodist Church Upper High Street, Taunton, TA1 3PY
Led by Rob Tribe
The Taunton Good Afternoon Choir rehearse every Tuesday afternoon at Temple Methodist Church from 2.00-4.00pm.
Grenville Jones, the founder of the Good Afternoon Choirs is delighted that Rob Tribe is the leader of the Taunton Good Afternoon Choir.
Rob Tribe is a Taunton based musician who divides his time between teaching music and performing. As a guitar player he spends his days teaching kids and adults to rock in several local schools, Guildhall Young Artists Taunton and privately. The rest of the time he's playing with local bands in a variety of styles from 50s rock and roll to modern rock and pop. A love of musical theatre often sees him in the orchestral pit for theatres all over the county.
A warm welcome awaits any new members, there are NO auditions and everyone is welcome! There is no charge for attending your first rehearsal. Come alone or with a friend – either way Rob and the Choir will be pleased to meet you. You will be joining over 1,000 people singing at Good Afternoon Choirs around the South West and beyond!
Membership forms are available to collect at every rehearsal. The choir rehearsals are in 4 terms of 10 weeks and members pay £58 per term – this covers room and piano hire, music, admin and musician fees. You do not need to join at the start of a term, you can simply come along to any rehearsal and pick up a membership form should you wish to join the choir – your fee will then be worked out for the remainder of that term.
If you have any questions about the Choir please contact Jody or Tracey at Grenville's office in Westfield/Midsomer Norton via e-mail [email protected] or tel 01761 472468.

Chris Grabham's Swan Song Concert July 2025
Taunton Good Afternoon Choir held a lovely concert at Temple Methodist Church in July 2025. Their special guest was fantastic cellist, Chris Sampson.
Unfortunately the choir sadly said "good bye" to their much loved leader - Chris Grabham - at this concert as he is moving to London to take up a role at the BRIT school in Croydon. We all wish him the best of luck!
