The Chepstow Good Afternoon Choir rehearse every Wednesday afternoon at Chepstow Baptist Church from 1.00-3.00pm.
Grenville Jones, the founder of the Good Afternoon Choirs is delighted that Andrew Kirk is the leader of the Chepstow Good Afternoon Choir.
Andrew is an energetic and versatile freelance choral director, accompanist and composer/arranger working mainly in the Bristol and North Somerset area. He is the Musical Director of Henbury Singers, as well as playing the organ and conducting choirs at various churches on Sundays. He is one of the regular accompanists for Melody Makers Choir. He has worked with all age ranges of singer over a 30 year career, in a variety of styles. He was Director of Music at St Mary Redcliffe Church Bristol for two decades, a highlight of which included a live BBC1 TV broadcast on Christmas Day!
A warm welcome awaits any new members, there are NO auditions and everyone is welcome! There is no charge for attending your first rehearsal. Come alone or with a friend – either way Andrew and the Choir will be pleased to meet you. You will be joining over 1,000 people singing at Good Afternoon Choirs around the South West!
Membership forms are available to collect at every rehearsal. The choir rehearsals are in 4 terms of 10 weeks and members pay £58 per term – this covers room and piano hire, music, admin and musician fees. You do not need to join at the start of a term, you can simply come along to any rehearsal and pick up a membership form should you wish to join the choir – your fee will then be worked out for the remainder of that term.
If you have any questions about the Choir please contact Tracey or Jody at Grenville's office in Westfield/Midsomer Norton via e-mail gac@grenvillemusic.co.uk or tel 01761 472468.
