Grenville Jones is the project director. He is the man with a world-wide reputation for getting people of all ages to sing. ...That is exactly what we do! We have a "Good Afternoon" singing together as a fun community choir with rehearsals in the afternoon. This is another project from music man Grenville Jones which is encouraging people to join together, make friends and sing! The first Good Afternoon Choir started in Bath in May 2009, the Devizes Good Afternoon Choir tuned up last year, Weston-super-Mare begins on Monday April 2nd and Grenville has plans to start his fourth Choir in Salisbury later this year. There are no auditions to belong to a Good Afternoon Choir and you do not have to worry about travelling to rehearsal in the dark. You will be home for the 6 o'clock news! The music varies from well-known songs of yesteryear to ABBA! Reading music and previous choir experience is simply not important. Good Afternoon Choirs perform at concerts and enjoy music making and, making new friends.
Membership is an annual fee to include music and all this will be explained on the member’s form when you come along to find out for yourself about the Choir in your area.

Grenville Jones enjoys the reputation of being 'Bath's Mr Music!' He was Bath Mayor’s Citizen of the Year 2009 for his work with the Golden-Oldies Charity and was also given the accolade of Bath Man of the Year in the Bath Chronicle for his work with the Charity. Both accolades also recognised the success on the 2008 BBC’s Last Choir Standing series of Bath Male Choir when they reached the top five. This programme has since been shown around the World.
Grenville appeared on the 2011 BBC Children in Need with Gareth Malone. His other choirs include
THE Bath Chorus, The Welcome Choir, The Norland College Choir and Choirskool.
