The Swansea Good Afternoon Choir rehearse every Tuesday afternoon at St James Church, Swansea from 1.00-3.00pm.
Grenville Jones, the founder of the Good Afternoon Choirs is delighted that Dana Phoenix is the leader of the Swansea Good Afternoon Choir.
Dana Jean Phoenix is a Canadian composer, singer, and music coach with a passion for community and inclusivity through the arts. A graduate of Sheridan’s music and theatre program in Canada, Dana has toured the world performing in theatre shows as well as with her original music. Her compositions have been featured in Netflix, and recently she co-wrote the theme song to a Canadian children’s TV show called ‘Tiny and Tall’. Dana is proud to now call Wales her home, performing and facilitating music lessons, songwriting workshops, and choral groups locally. Dana loves sharing in the joy of music.
A warm welcome awaits any new members, there are NO auditions and everyone is welcome! There is no charge for attending your first rehearsal. Come alone or with a friend – either way Dana and the Choir will be pleased to meet you. You will be joining over 1,000 people singing at Good Afternoon Choirs around the South West and beyond!
Membership forms are available to collect at every rehearsal. The choir rehearsals are in 4 terms of 10 weeks and members pay £58 per term – this covers room and piano hire, music, admin and musician fees. You do not need to join at the start of a term, you can simply come along to any rehearsal and pick up a membership form should you wish to join the choir – your fee will then be worked out for the remainder of that term.
If you have any questions about the Choir please contact Tracey or Tegen at Grenville's office in Westfield/Midsomer Norton via e-mail [email protected] or tel 01761 472468.
