Two popular Good Afternoon Choirs will join together on stage at Holy Trinity Church, Trowbridge, next Saturday – March 15 – at 7.00pm (doors open 6.30pm) to welcome a visiting choir from Cornwall, the Local Vocalz.
The combined Bath and Norton Radstock Good Afternoon Choirs will be led by Grenville Jones and are busy preparing their programme for the concert which will support local charities.
The Good Afternoon Choirs were started by Bath-based Grenville 16 years ago and there are now 35 across the South West of England, South Wales and London, with over 1,600 members ‘Singing in the Afternoon’.
There are no auditions to join, your first rehearsal is free, and members of our Good Afternoon Choirs come from in and around the areas. Bath meet every Thursday afternoon from 2pm-4pm at Widcombe Baptist Church, in Bath, led by Grenville whilst Norton Radstock meet every Thursday afternoon from 1.00pm-3.00pm at Midsomer Norton Methodist Church Hall, led by John Sandford. Everyone is welcome to come along to meet Grenville/John and the members of the choirs.
The special guests for the concert will be the Local Vocalz, a vibrant mixed voice choir based in Hayle, Cornwall, who embrace a diverse musical repertoire spanning from the Bee Gees to Vivaldi and Coldplay.

If cannot attend the concert on Saturday evening, Local Vocalz will be performing in Holy Trinity Church, Trowbridge, on Friday night (March 14) when they will be sharing the stage with the Chippenham & Calne and West Wilts Good Afternoon Choirs.
